What have we been up to? (part 2)

Just like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Twilight Breaking Dawn, I decided to split this update into two posts. This is a blog, not a thesis!

Last month we appreciated the long Autumn because it meant a beautiful sunny day for this intimate wedding at Caversham House. The couple requested a solo violin performance and a special arrangement of Best I Ever Had by Drake for the recessional. Anyone feel like playing chess?

The next day our string duo performed for Daisy and Wade at The Grounds of Alexandria in Sydney. Unfortunately they weren’t in the Snow White themed area, but the ceremony and reception venue was very cosy and beautifully decorated with indoor plants and candles. I highly recommend checking out the venue, even just to scroll through their Instagram for fun. Their themed area looks like it would be a lot of fun to visit!

A few years ago Richard asked our flute trio to perform at his mother’s celebration of life. We were honoured when he asked us back to play at his father’s, this time at beautiful Rothwood. While the gathering had a sombre aspect, Richard requested the trio perform music from the 70s and 80s - his father’s favourite musical eras.

Lastly, we finished the wedding season with a big, lively wedding full of laughter at Millbrook Winery, which is just gorgeous in Autumn! It had been raining all week, so the grass was sodden, but Millbrook were flexible and moved the ceremony to the undercover walkway, which has beautiful views of the lake and deciduous trees. We were excited to work with Josh again. He’s one of our favourite celebrants, so we were pretty chuffed to find out he recommended us to the couple - Thanks Josh!

That’s all for now. Stay warm and dry. We’ll see you out and about soon!
