String Quartet - Wedding Ceremony and Reception - Nicole and Alex
Nicole and Alex had such eclectic taste in music and it was so much fun providing music for them!
Their ceremony took place on the beautiful UWA Prescott Lawn, which was the perfect setting with its lush green lawn. After playing some light background music, we played 'Young and Beautiful' by Lana del Ray for the entrance of the bridal party and the bride. The ceremony included many anecdotal tales of the couple's relationship and readings from family and friends.
The couple are big fans of the TV show 'Parks and Rec' so requested the song '500 Candles in the Wind' to be played as they signed the register. Shortly afterwards, they were presented to guests as husband and wife and exited to the hit classic 'I'm a Believer' by The Monkees.
Later that evening, we provided wedding entertainment throughout the couple's cocktail wedding reception. Lots of string quartet covers were played as guests arrived. We played the theme of the movie 'Jurassic Park' for the entrance of the bridal party (it's actually a very beautiful and majestic piece!). We continued to provide background music throughout the night in the form of contemporary music, including a request for 'The Fragile' by Nine Inch Nails for the couple's first dance.
It was a long day, with our string quartet performing for a total of five and a half hours but we wouldn't have it any other way!
